Mahindra and Mahindra are entering a new era of electric vehicles with the launch of two sub-brands: BE and XEV. To make this post more specific, the automaker has officially recalled the BE and XEV 6e and 9e electric SUVs. Based on the brand's new 'tough design' language, the BE 6e has been launched at a starting price of Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Here you will find all the details about the BE 6e. The modern design of the BE 6e is combined with an aggressive and technical appeal. Aerodynamic 20-inch wheels and large wheel arches that follow the characteristic lines of the body give the electric vehicle a muscular appearance. At the front of the electric car is a strategically placed headlight flanked by J-shaped daytime running lights. Another highlight is the large hood and aerodynamic front splitter.
The SUV, on the other hand, has a slimmer appearance, the door handles are flat, and the silhouette has coupe-like features. For this design, the brand offers wheels with excellent aerodynamics. The rear of the car also matches the technological appeal of the front apron. It features C-shaped tail lights connected by thin lines that span the entire width of the car, surrounded by an illuminated BE logo in the center. The length of the E-SUV is 4371 mm, its ground clearance is 207 mm. It offers a 455-liter trunk and 45-liter storage space. The interior of the BE 6e is designed to match the exterior. The highlight of the interior is the brand new driver-centric layout, the two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo. In addition, the brand has added a dual-screen system consisting of a digital instrument cluster and an infotainment screen. The brand also offers magnetic key chains. To further enhance the experience, the glass roof of the electric vehicle, which the brand calls "Infinity Roof", will be illuminated.
Other features include ventilated seats, wireless charger, air purifier, air quality display, 16-speaker Harman Kardon music system with Dolby Atmos, facial recognition system, cooling console storage, etc. To ensure safety, the brand offers a range of ADAS Level 2 Plus features with five radars and a camera. Security is further enhanced with the Secure 360 system, which allows you to monitor your vehicle using your phone. Other features include airbags and TPMS. This brand is offering automatic parking for the first time. Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e are both based on the brand's INGLO platform. This platform creates space for the “Frank” and places the electric motor at the rear. It also features a semi-active suspension for a smoother ride, a new steering system to reduce the turning radius and an improved braking system with an electric motor.
This electric vehicle is equipped with a 79 kWh battery that offers an ARAI approved range of 682 km on a single charge. This battery charges from 20 to 80 percent in 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger. Note that the brand offers a lifetime warranty on the electric vehicle battery. However, this does not apply to commercially registered electric vehicles. The brand also offers a 59 kWh battery pack that powers a 231 horsepower motor. The energy from the 79 kWh battery is supplied by an electric motor with an output of 281 hp and a maximum torque of 380 Nm. This means the BE 6e accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. It also has multiple driving modes such as Range, Daily and Race.
