Indian cuisine is known for its diversity. They offer a variety of dishes from dal and veg to roti. Roti occupies an important place in Indian thalis and wheat roti is mainly served in Indian households. While ragi and multigrain rotis are popular, special rotis such as corn, millet and jowar rotis are also prepared seasonally. Among them, corn roti, also known as maki ki roti, is very popular. Corn roti, traditionally made in Punjabi homes, is often featured on wedding and party menus. Its pleasant taste is compatible with all vegetables. If you have tried making mise roti at home but find it difficult to perfect, don't worry. Today I am going to share some simple tips to help you make delicious Punjabi mise roti every time. Here are some tips:

Flour Blend: Mise Roti is made from a blend of chickpea flour and wheat flour. Spices such as pomegranate seeds, whole coriander, red pepper, cumin, turmeric, salt and cardamom seeds are added for flavor.

Optional Additions: Depending on your personal taste, you can add finely chopped onions, green chilies and fresh coriander to taste.

Method of preparation: Misruti is traditionally prepared in the oven. At home, you can sprinkle some water on the surface and fry it in a pan.

Alternative Grilling Method: You can also cover the pan with ghee and cook like a paratha. Enjoy warm roti with your favorite vegetables.

Proper Flour Ratio: To make perfect misiruti, it is important to maintain the correct ratio of chickpea and wheat flour. Use 2 cups of chickpea flour for 1 cup of wheat flour. Mix both flours well before kneading.

Prepare the dough: The mise roti dough should be a little stiff. You only need a small amount of water to knead the dough, so add it little by little.

Flavor Enhancement: Add salt and kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) while kneading the dough to enhance the flavor of the roti.

Filling to soften: Add some filling to the flour mixture. This will make the roti softer and tastier.

Keep the dough moist: After kneading, grease the dough with a little oil and cover with a damp cloth. This will prevent the fabric from drying out.
