The prominently shocking news was that beyond thousands of people were marooned by flash flooding from early monsoon rains which have destroyed at least 120 in northern India. The military helicopters known to have undertaken emergency food drops on Wednesday for thousands of people marooned by flash flooding from early monsoon rains which have killed at least 120 in northern India.

The states of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh have witnessed impassioned rains at least three times as heavy as usual since last week when the annual monsoon broke a fortnight advance of schedule. Thousands of houses have been dragged away in the flash floods and authorities are using helicopters to vacate people as well as drop essential food supplies.

Jaspal Arya, the disaster relief minister of Uttarakhand expressed that at least 110 people have died. The state government along with the army are trying to rescue thousands of tourists who are isolated near the submerged valleys and Hindu shrines. Arya said portions of a Hindu temple were washed away on Tuesday at the same time about 10,000 pilgrims were marooned. Furthermore, the Kedarnath temple is engulfed in mud and slush and that they just hope that it does not crumble suddenly.

It was also known that authorities have rejected pilgrimage trips, confronted by threatening danger of further rains along with landslides in the state, often referred to as the “Land of the Gods” due to the fact of its many Hindu temples and Hindu religious sites. Officials in Uttarakhand, the worst-hit state, said about 200 cars, two earthmoving equipment along with even a parked helicopter had been washed away by floods.

The violent rains commenced whipping the region on Saturday at the same time local officials said 40 relief camps have been set up to ensure providing food along with water to locals and tourists. On Tuesday, 250 people were rescued by air force helicopters from different parts of the state and many were moved to the relief camps. Arya added on the contrary that many are still stuck and it could take us three more days to rescue all of them.

According to Uttarakhand chief secretary Subash Kumar 21 bridges have crumbled down in the state due to that they have lost access to several villages across the state. In neighbouring Himachal Pradesh, flash floods ruined beyond 500 houses as well as government buildings and at least 10 people were destroyed in landslides.

A military statement on Tuesday disclosed that five air bases in northern India had been actuated to speed up operations. Another prominent fact that came in light, is the monsoon which keeps the India’s farming sector dependent overspread the subcontinent from June to September, generally bringing certain flooding. On the contrary the violent rains that arrived at an early phase in present year seems to be fascinating many by astonishment as well as disclosing lack of readiness in the country.
