A shocking case was reported in New Mexico after a corrections officer sprayed pepper spray on a woman's vagina after she was found hiding a plastic bag inside her genitals.

A federal lawsuit, filed with the American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico, revealed that the Bernalillo County corrections officer sprayed the chemical agents twice on the woman’s genitals during a strip search.

ACLU officials claim that the pepper spray was used to “punish” the woman.

The woman his currently in Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque on a probation violation. She had previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to drug trafficking.
