A New Hampshire officer is making headlines and how.

Apparently, the very man and woman he had arrested for underage drinking four years ago are engaged now, and interestingly, it was he who helped the man propose to her and the scene was captured on video that has gone viral now.

Matt Van Vliet and Samantha Labo didn't know each other when they were arrested by New London police Chief Edward Anderson on suspicion of underage drinking while they were in college. Later, they developed a friendship that turned into a relationship.

Hoping to surprise his girlfriend with a proposal, Vliet called the police chief, who agreed to to be part of it, Newsy says.

Video shows Vliet supposedly being handcuffed after they were pulled over. He then puls out a ring, which he then presents to his weeping girlfriend as loved ones surround them to take photos. She said yes.

"I went from being completely terrified to being the most happiest I've ever been," she tells WBZ-TV.
