Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump is gearing up to hold a campaign rally in the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport on Wednesday.
The event will take place in the afternoon at the airport property’s private hanger. The event is being advertized by Trump on his campaign website. The website says, ‘doors will open at 10 am’. However, information regarding the capacity of the location is not known.
Trump and other Republican presidential candidates are scheduled to take part in a CNN/Salem Radio debate in Las Vegas, just a day before the rally occurs.
Meanwhile, saying that Donald Trump is not welcomed in Phoenix, Mayor Greg Stanton released the statement that said,”I hope that Donald Trump does not bring his hateful message of division and intolerance back to Phoenix. He has a First Amendment right to spew vile rhetoric, but his brand of increasingly overt racism is in complete contrast to our values as a city."
Earlier in July, more than 5,000 people were drawn to Trump’s rally at the Phoenix Convention Center. The crowd cheered his strong stand concerning illegal immigration besides his attack on political rivals and critics as well. Also, large crowds protested against Trump's anti-immigrant and anti-Mexican remarks during the same event.
Trump also continues to receive criticism for his comments on temporary ban Muslims from entering the US, in the context of the deadly terrorist attack in San Bernardino.
