Arizona government is gearing up to pay $ 300,000 to public prosecutors to cover up attorney fees and other expenses, who is representing same sex couples. The couples have challenged the Arizona’s ban on same sex marriages.
The agreement of around $302,000 has been approved by the federal judge and passed during last week.
National gay-rights organization Lambda Legal and other petitioners have filed the petition during March, 2014 against Arizona law, on behalf of nine gay couples in which, two are surviving spouses.
Applicants named Attorney General Tom Horne, as the defendant in the complaints.
Judge John Sedwick was the same judge who has ruled the case earlier in September, mentioned that lawyers who are representing lawyers in opposing same sex marriage will receive allowances from the state, as reported in Azcentral’s report.
The US Supreme Court has declared that, same sex couples can marry in all 50 states of the country.
