As per the authoritative information from, National Weather Service officials, they have declared that the city has set record high temperature on May 6th at 106 degrees, which has broke previous record of 105 degrees in the year 1947.
The temperatures began to raise on Friday, when the thermometer hit 96 degrees and then that led up to 103 degrees on Sunday. These tremendous increase in temperature, led to immoderate heat warnings on Sunday, which turned out to be well warranted.
The Weather service has reported the high temperature shortly after noon with a exemplary possibilities of higher temperatures, but the report did not mention anything hotter than the record breaking 106 degrees.
The normal high temperature recorded on May 6 in Phoenix averages about 92 degrees. The recent reports on Sunday exceeded it by 14 degrees.
The increasing temperatures are expected to oscillate over triple digits for next week, how ever none of these records are expected to be break records
According to the weather officials, there is no possible chances to score back under 90 degree until October.
