A federal US agency announced that the process of implementing the H-1Belectronic registration process for the 2021 has been completed and that the online registration can be done by paying USD10 as a processing fee by the companies applying for H1-B visas for foreign workers for 2021.
The acceptance of the H1-B petition by the immigration Services and the US Citizenship would start from April 1, 2020 for the next fiscal year.
"The electronic registration process will dramatically streamline processing by reducing paperwork and data exchange, and will provide an overall cost savings to petitioning employers," the USCIS said.
An initial registration period from March 1 through March 20, 2020 will be opened by the USCIS. The filing of H-1B petitions will be eligible to the selected registered candidates, a media release said.
"By streamlining the H-1B cap selection process with a new electronic registration system, USCIS is creating cost savings and efficiencies for petitioners and the agency, as only those selected will now be required to submit a full petition," said Mark Koumans the Deputy Director of USCIS.
"The agency completed a successful pilot testing phase, which included sessions with industry representatives, and implementation of the registration system will further the goal of modernizing USCIS from a paper-based to an online-filing agency," he told..
A step- by-step instructions informing the registrants the completion of the registration process on its website along with the key dates by the USICS as the initial registration period nears.
If the USCIS does not receive enough registrations and subsequent petitions projected to reach the numerical allocations, it may determine if it is necessary to continue accepting registrations or open an additional registration period, it added.
