15 CRPF Jawans were killed and several others injured when their bus was blasted by a Maoist landmine in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra today.
The blast occurred near Pustola village on Karwafa-Fulbodi Gutta road, about 4 km from Gadchiroli when the Jawans were travelling from Pushtola to Gatta on operational duty.
CRPF chief K. Vijay Kumar, now on a tour of Maharashtra, has visited the spot and is slated to hold a high level review meeting over the ghastly incident later. Officials said the number of the dead can go up as some of the injured Jawans are battling for life in hospitals. (J)
