Story

The story revolves around three jobless friends who are all set to lure a 'Laddu' (girl) who had just landed in their colony. However the trio not to hamper their friendships, vow that the first one who attracts the girl is the winner and other other two would forget about her and remain as friends. The three friends are debutant Sethu (Sethu), Kaalkattu Kaliyaperumal aka KK (Santhanam) and Power Kumar (Srinivasan). The girl is Sowmya (Vishaka) and she is living with her Dad, aunty (Kovai Sarala) and uncle (VTV Ganesh).

The trio try to impress one of the three relations to claim the girl's hand. Sethu helps the aunty, while KK joins as music student with the Uncle. On the other hand Srinivasan learns dance from her father. How the trio tried their best and what hardships they faced in the process, is the core of the subject that is entertaining.

Analysis :

With Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya, comedian Santhanam turns as a producer and joins Ramanarayanan to produce this film. He has also written the storyline along with co-writer K S Manikandan. The later has also directed this film. S Thaman did the music honors and the songs are catching up with youth. Editing was crisp and cinematography was appealing. However the various errands that the trio take up to woo the girl are well knit in the storyline to send the viewer on frequent laughter bouts.

Performance :

All the three enjoy their roles while Santhanam and Srinivasan lead, the band wagon. Vishaka brings a fresh look to the film. Debutant Sethu's expression is awesome in critical situations. The third in the league is Power Star who has neatly etched out a comedy role. VTV Ganesh, Kovai Sarala, Devadarshini, Raja and Ganeshekar have lived in their respective roles. Special appearances by Gautham Menon and Actor Simbhu adds the necessary pep to the film and well planned.
