Working women have a busy lifestyle. Many women need to travel frequently that leaves them with problem skin. Their beauty regimen goes for a toss. Such women need to carry their beauty essentials while travelling and also follow a beauty regimen strictly.
Here are some tips to take care of your skin while travelling.
Apply sun screen
Always carry a sunscreen and apply it before moving outdoor. Whether you are in the warm region or cold areas wear a sun screen. A sunscreen is the most important beauty essential for travelling women. Choose a good quality sun screen with at least 35 SPF (or higher). Apply it on your face, neck and other exposed areas of your body 20 minutes before you head out in the sun.
Keep your face hydrated
If you are travelling during the summer months them make sure that you keep your skin hydrated. Make it a point to spray face mist from time to time as the air is dry during summer. Opt for a face mist that contains floral waters, pure essential oils, vegetable glycerin, witch hazel and menthol. Avoid alcohol based mists as they dry up the skin. Face mist will keep you refreshed and prevents excess oil deposit on your skin.
Cleansing-toning-moisturising
Clean your face everyday without fail to prevent oil and dirt build-up on the skin. This is essential to prevent pore blockage, blackheads or breakouts.
Clean your face using a light lotion-based non-foaming cleanser. Foaming cleansers have chemical ingredients that cause skin dryness. And if you have oily skin, go for a gel-based cleanser which contains exfoliating beads.
Use toner everyday after cleansing to restore the skin's Ph balance. Toner helps to control oil formation and also removes excess dirt and bacteria from skin pores. Opt for a toner that is free from alcohol, fragrance or artificial colour. But if your skin is very dry then give the toner a miss.
Make sure that your skin remains moisturised through out the day. Apply a nourishing moisturiser that is light and non-greasy. Choose a moisturiser with natural oils like sweet almond, apricot kernel and jojoba. These help to moisturise your skin without clogging the pores. Stay away from moisturisers that contain petroleum, mineral oil, fragrances and artificial colours.
