As soon as December comes, a severe cold begins. The cold season is also associated with many health problems. In winter, not only children, but also the elderly and pregnant women should be careful. Pregnant women should be particularly careful. Pregnant women should pay attention to the following in winter:

1. The risk of catching a cold or flu is high this time of year. Therefore, vaccination is important not only for the prevention of seasonal diseases such as flu, but also for the health of mother and child.

2. Include nutrients rich in vitamin C, vitamin D and zinc in your diet and maintain a balanced diet with hot soups, seasonal vegetables, oranges and other fruits. This will boost your immunity.

3. In winter the weather is dry, which can lead to dehydration. To maintain fluid balance, it is important to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

4. Be careful what you wear. Choose layers to suit indoor and outdoor temperatures. If you're pregnant in the winter, shop for maternity clothes that include warm tops, stretchy leggings, and non-slip shoes. This protects you from the cold.

5. Dry air often causes nasal congestion. Consider using a moisturizer. Also, invest in soft bedding and comfortable clothing for your baby.

6. Prepare hospital bags for winter births, including sweaters, socks and blankets for mother and baby. Don't forget to pack a thermos for hot drinks, moisturizing lip balm, comfortable slippers, necessary documents, cosmetics and postpartum care products.

7. To improve blood circulation and reduce cold stiffness, try simple exercises like stretching or pregnancy yoga at home.

Health management in winter is very important for pregnant women. Be wary of illnesses such as colds and flu and seek medical attention immediately if you feel unwell.
