We have seen her darker side in the academy award winning role of a ballet dancer in the movie the Black Swann , where she  portrayed the layered character to the perfection. Now if you want to see the same intensity of Natalie Portman’s acting once again, you are lucky as she is going to play the role of ruthlessly ambitious Lady Macbeth in Justin Kurzel s film adaptation of the classic Shakespearean tragedy.

According to the sources the role of Macbeth will be played by Michael Fassbender.  Reports indicate  that Portman has long been interested in taking on the role of Lady Macbeth in a movie  and played the stage version to the perfection . The film will reportedly retain Shakespeare's original language and the play's 11th-century setting.

It is interesting to note that previously several big names have played the role of this iconic character known for her power of manipulation. The list includes yesteryear’s superstars like Vivien Leigh, Judi Dench, Diana Wynyard and Helen Mirren. Well …We can’t just wait more to see Natalie joining the league.
