Story
The Hero, who is an orphan without someone whom he call his own. His only aim in his life is to marry a girl who has a large family behind her and when the search ends the girl's father seeks the same qualities in the prospective son-in-law. After winning the girl’s heart, this Guy refuses to marry her without the family's approval because he craves for the love and the sense of belonging, the togetherness. Then the second half of the film talks about all that struggle Hero faces to win the Girl’s family’s approval and to get her with the concern of all her family members. The Hero even makes a move to heroine’s home, stays there and receives a lot of distraction at the beginning. Now, if the hero succeeds in his aim or not, you have to watch the same on silver screen.
Analysis :
The film has many unanswered questions. Why should the hero strive to love and marry the girl from a huge family? Why he has no other aim? Why does a girl’s family would allow any guy or for that matter the Girl’s boy friend, to physically stay at their home and to win their agreement for marriage? The movie focuses majorly on establishing the hero’s role and to win audience sympathy on him. Certain characterizations did not have much of a role to play in the film. Most of the film was much predictable. Only the timing in the sequences and the performances of the artists would make to subject and the film lively.
Performance :
After debuting with the film like ‘Baanam’, Rohit has chosen a subject like ‘Solo’ that would establish him as a regular commercial hero. But, his performance to the larger extent was not convincing. He needs to work on getting more ease in him, while depicting the role. Nisha Agarrwal did a fair job at her given path. No doubt Prakash Raj was a show stealer. Shiyaji Shinde’s role was not up to the mark. All the other comedians and artists did their part in the film. Director Parushuram did his best to depict a known story line as a new. The Music Scores by Mani Sharma were up to the mark. And yes, keeping the body language of the hero in mind, the director was intelligent enough to put only few fights in the film. Comedian Srinivas Reddy was also very entertaining to watch. There was a ‘Solo’ song similar to that of ‘Ek Niranjan’ title track. Overall, the film was good, but it is just that the story is a bit routine and what next can be simply predicted.
Final Word‘Solo’ a time pass flick!
