Everyone while watching Chennai SuperKings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GJ) match at Chepauk was surprised to see the tree emoji in the place of the dot ball. CSK won the toss and elected to bat first. Runs were flooding on the score board and other side broadcasters who are displaying the scoreboard replaced the dot ball emoji with a tree. Everyone was surprised to see it. The emoji was explained, BCCI going to plant 500 trees for each dot ball in the IPL 2023 playoffs. The great initiative by BCCI was hailed by social media followers.
We are proud to partner @TataCompanies in planting 500 saplings for each dot ball in the @IPL playoffs. Qualifier 1 #GTvsCSK got 42,000 saplings, thanks to 84 dot balls.
