Team India’s cricket Wall is planning to announce his retirement from his beloved sports, on Friday. The senior player is one of the three who has succumbed to criticism.

Rahul Dravid considered the reliable batsman of Team India in the bigger format of the game especially is planning to announce his retirement tomorrow at Bangalore. The sustainer of the national team has been a victim to criticism, that seniors were the main reason for debacle by media. The other players in the controversy were Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman. But the veteran is sure to play the IPL-5 as the captain of the Rajasthan Royals.

BCCI today sent a media release about Dravid holding a joint press conference along with President N Srinivasan at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium tomorrow afternoon.  "Mr. N. Srinivasan, President, BCCI, and Mr. Rahul Dravid will address the media at 12:30 pm on Friday, 9 March 2012, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru," the release stated.

The statistics of the career started in 1996 at the Lord’s are so impressive that the retirement comes as big disappointment to his fans. In his debut at London Dravid scored a remarkable 95. From there on `the Wall’ played 164 matches and scored 13,288 test runs, with 36 centuries at an average of 52.31. The classy fielder has 210 catches in Test matches and 196 catches in ODI’s to his record too. He also captained the national side in 25 tests and won eight of them while losing just six. He also has a very impressive ODI record where he had scored 10,889 runs at an average of shade less than 40. He has 12 centuries and 83 half centuries in the shorter format.
