OnePlus has been striking a balance between performance and practical design for its mid-range Nord series in India over the past few years. While the phone packs enough power and performance to provide a smooth software experience, the brand has made some compromises in areas like design and cameras to keep the pricing competitive. However, this is about to change with the upcoming Nord 4 model. Scheduled to be unveiled at OnePlus's global event on July 16, the Nord 4 has been featured in recent leaks, revealing a brand-new design for the OnePlus sub-brand. The leaks, including a post on X by @OnePlusClub, showcase the phone in various color options the brand plans to launch. These include a two-tone mint green finish, a two-tone silver finish, and a classic black variant. The silver model features a textured back with distinct grooves, while the green and black variants have flat rear surfaces with beveled corners and flat sides.

The upcoming OnePlus smartphone appears to feature a sleek and premium design, reminiscent of the iconic all-metal phones from the past. The device boasts a dual-camera layout with horizontally aligned lenses and LED flash modules, along with the signature three-stage alert slider switch that has become a hallmark of OnePlus' high-end models. Leaked images also suggest the use of a metal unibody chassis, which integrates the rear panel seamlessly, leaving an opening at the top for the camera setup. This design choice harks back to the days when metal-clad smartphones were a symbol of quality and sophistication, despite some associated reception challenges. The OnePlus Nord 4, as it's been dubbed, seems to take inspiration from the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 series in terms of its overall aesthetic. Rumored specifications include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC and a 6.74-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, further elevating the device's premium positioning. The phone is equipped with a high-quality 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, as well as a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. Powering the device is a long-lasting 5,500mAh battery that supports rapid 100W wired charging, ensuring you can quickly recharge the phone when needed.
