Apple's Next iPad Pro to be made in 2025

In May this year, Apple released the iPad Pro with a new M4 processor and a thinner frame. The Cupertino tech giant is expected to update the iPad Pro with a next-generation chip next year. Recently, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested that the iPad Pro with an unannounced M5 chip could become available to customers in the fall of 2025. Previously, Apple updated the iPad Pro line every 18 months. The latest generation iPad Pro (2022) models with the Apple M2 processor were released in October 2022. In a post on Medium, Ming-Chi Kuo shared his expectations for the launch of the M5-based iPad Pro. According to him, mass production of the M5 iPad Pro will begin in the second half of 2025. “The M5-powered iPad Pro is expected to go into mass production in the second half of 2025. The company's business dynamics are expected to improve significantly in the second half of 2025. Introducing a new Apple product," he wrote. This suggests that the iPad Pro M5 will go on sale in the autumn of next year, 18 months after the release of the M4.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman made similar claims in October. According to him, the M5-based iPad Pro will only be released at the end of 2025 or the first half of 2026. Apple currently follows a 1.5-year gap between iPad Pro releases, and Kuo says it will stay that way. The iPad Pro was last updated in May this year with an M4 processor, narrower bezels, up to 2 TB of internal storage and iPadOS 17. It has a starting price of Rs 99,900 for the base model with 11-inch screen and Wi-Fi connectivity - Fi, while the 13-inch model costs Rs 99,900. 1,29,900 for the Wi-Fi option. The iPad Pro has an Ultra Retina XDR display and supports Apple Pencil Pro and the updated Magic Keyboard. There is a 12-megapixel TrueDepth ultra-wide-angle camera on the front, and a 12-megapixel camera with a lidar scanner on the back.
