The Redmi 14C 5G is set to launch in India and select global markets. The company has now announced the release date of this phone and revealed its design. The details about the phone's color options and its availability have also been confirmed. The upcoming smartphone is expected to complement the current Redmi 14C 4G variant that was launched in August. Previous reports suggested that the expected Redmi 14C 5G device could be a modified version of the 14R 5G model. According to the official landing page, the Redmi 14C 5G will launch in India on January 6, 2025. The “World Debut” tag on the promotional poster indicates that the phone has been confirmed to be released in other global markets. The device's live Amazon microsite indicates that it will eventually be available on Amazon in addition to the company's e-store. The Redmi 14C 5G is similar in design to the Redmi 14R 5G. The phone features a dual rear camera setup and a large circular rear camera module housing an LED flash. It is confirmed to have a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor with AI support.

The SIM card slot of the Redmi 14C 5G is located on the left edge, while the right edge houses the volume rocker and the power button, which is expected to function as a fingerprint sensor. There is a teardrop-shaped cutout in the middle of the front panel for the selfie camera unit. The next phone is expected to be available in black, blue and purple colors. The blue ombre color option is combined with silver colors. The Redmi 14C 5G is likely to come with a 2nd generation Snapdragon 4 chip and a 5,160mAh battery with support for 18W charging if it is the new Redmi 14R 5G version. The phone is expected to feature a 6.68-inch 120Hz HD+ LCD display and Android 14-based HyperOS. It is worth noting that the Redmi 14R 5G is equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The upcoming 14C 5G phone has a confirmed 50MP main camera sensor, so it could also use an improved front camera sensor over the 14R version.
