Chinese telecoms giant Huawei on Tuesday launched while prominently defining it to be the world's thinnest smartphone, due to which it has gained reasonable confidence that it will take on high-end rivals like Apple and Samsung in the global market. Commanding to extend its market reach outside China, Huawei chose London to uncover its Ascend P6 which happens to be just 6.18mm thick the June 18 launch date reflecting the dimensions.

Furthermore, Mr Richard Yu, the chief executive of Huawei's consumer business group, told an audience of industry figures and journalists at the Roundhouse that their theme for this product is elegance with an edge. The north London venue is famous for small-scale concerts at the same time has previously hosted rock icons such as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin along with Pink Floyd.
