Who don’t be curious in peeping into other social media accounts and scrutinize theirs like counts and comments? If you are the one among many who does that, then you can’t do it any longer, as per reports. Because Facebook is mulling on restricting the display of likes that appear below people’s posts.
The social media giant is looking at initiating the change owing to the reason that a large number of people on its platform tend to get disheartened by the small number of ‘likes’ they get for their posts and are refrained from going ahead and posting more on their Facebook accounts/pages.
According to Facebook, the like count will be visible only to the one who posted the message and not to other people on Facebook.
The move is already implemented on Facebook-owned Instagram at least 7 countries including Brazil and Canada. However, Facebook is yet to share its experience with the Instagram experiment.
Facebook also plans to initiate this change because the decrease in posts number will naturally affect social media giant’s its ad revenue. However, the company would not want this to pass off.
Thus, the idea will be to encourage more Facebook members to post their individual moments so that their friends are kept in the loop and they can make their own comments as well.
