Top director SS Rajamouli is busy with RRR, a periodic drama that is set in 1920s before Independence. The film is made on a massive budget of Rs 450 crores and is 70% done with the shoot. The makers shelled out huge money on the project which features NTR, Ram Charan in the lead roles. After the Telangana government granted permission to shoot the movies, Rajamouli wanted to conduct a trial shoot for RRR. But he shelved his plans after he knew that it is not possible to handle the shoot with just 40 members.

With nothing much to do, Rajamouli is spending time at home. He recently started working on the script of his next film that will have Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Rajamouli and his father Vijayendra Prasad are working on the story of the film and they will finalize it soon. Rajamouli currently shifted his focus towards Mahesh Babu's project as there is ample time to start the shoot of RRRR. Veteran producer KL Narayana will bankroll Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli's film. This project is expected to start from the mid of 2022.
