King Nagarjuna and his son Naga Chaitanya tested their luck with Bangarraju during the Sankranthi season and the film emerged as the Sankranthi winner. There was huge competition for the theatrical rights of the film and they are picked up for record prices. Bangarraju is the sequel for Soggade Chinni Nayana and it is directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala. Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Ramya Krishna and Krithi Shetty played the lead roles. The movie made huge money during the Sankranthi weekend and it also remained strong over the second weekend.
Bangarraju collected a theatrical share of Rs 35.50 crores across the globe in ten days. The theatrical rights are valued at Rs 38 crores and the distributors will recover their investments before this weekend. Annapurna Studios and Zee Studios are the producers. The music album composed by Anup Rubens is a smashing hit and the entertainment, performances received good response from the audience.
