Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya teamed up for the second time after the super success of Manam. The film is titled Bangarraju and the film released during the Sankranthi holiday season. Kalyan Krishna Kurasala directed the film which is the sequel of Soggade Chinni Nayana. Ramya Krishna and Krithi Shetty played the leading ladies in Bangarraju. The film dominated the other releases and had a fantabulous weekend at the Tollywood box-office. But Bangarraju could not stand during the second week and fell flat. The film is a disaster in Nizam and made decent money in Andhra Pradesh.
Bangarraju collected a theatrical share of Rs 36.98 crores across the globe in two weeks of its run. Zee Studios and Annapurna Studios are the producers and Anup Rubens composed the music, background score. Bangarraju is a safe project for most of the distributors. Nagarjuna pocketed close to Rs 20 crores as he sold the entire film for Zee Studios before the release. The performances of Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya are widely appreciated by the audience.
