Tollywood sensation Vijay Deverakonda has been keen to get a pan-Indian image and tested his luck with Liger, a big-budget attempt that is directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film is made on a budget of Rs 100 crores and carried huge expectations. Liger released on August 25th and the film has been declared as the biggest flop in the history of Indian cinema. Liger theatrical rights are sold for Rs 100 crores and the film collected a theatrical share of Rs 30.09 crores in the final run. Ananya Pandey is the leading lady and Ramya Krishna, Vishu Reddy and Mike Tyson played other important roles in Liger.
The film also carried huge expectations in Hindi and the film collected a theatrical share of Rs 9 crores. The theatrical share in Telugu states is said to be Rs 14.34 crores. Puri Connects and Dharma Productions are the producers. The songs failed to impress the audience and the trailer kept good expectations on the film.
