Legendary Telugu actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao has been a pillar of Telugu cinema and he served the film industry for decades. His studio Annapurna Studios has been serving the film industry from years and Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Akhil, Sumanth and Sushanth are the actors from the family of Akkineni. Marking the 100th birth anniversary of Akkineni Nageswara Rao, a wax idol of the legendary actor was unveiled today in the studio premises. Indian Vice President Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the idol of Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

Several film personalities like Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu, SS Rajamouli, Nani, Mohan Babu, Brahmanandam and others were present as special guests for the inauguration. Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Sumanth and Akhil welcomed the guests personally. All the guests lauded the work and efforts of Nageswara Rao. Nagarjuna turned emotional during his speech. Nagarjuna also commenced the shoot of his next film titled Naa Saami Ranga directed by Vijay Binni today. The film produced by Srinivasaa Silver Screen is slated for Sankranthi 2024 release.
