The State conference of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), 'Thamarai Sangamam,' slated to be held on April 28 and 29 in Madurai has been postponed.
Pon. Radhakrishnan, State BJP President, addressing a press meet on Thursday night, said the deferment of the meet was taken due to the presence of rain water at the venue near the Viraganur Ring Road.
After making all the arrangements, rain played the spoilsport. State executive committee would meet on Friday to finalize the new dates for the meet.
Top BJP leaders including Nitin Gadkari, L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley were supposed to attend the meet. (msn)
