President Barack Obama telephoned Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday. During their conversation, Obama conveyed his India trip’s details.
Pak premier Nawaz Sharif reportedly expressed their unacceptance to the India’s desire to be a permanent member of United Nations Security Council. He reportedly informed President Obama that India do not deserve the membership as India violated their resolutions in UN on Kashmir issue.
President Obama appreciated Pakistan’s latest friendly move with Afghanistan. Their telephonic conversation lasted for half an hour, in which they discussed the defence, trade and social issues.
During Obama’s visit to India, both the nations announced a breakthrough on Nuclear pact, and two countries strengthened their ties.
The permanent members of the Security Council are China, France, Russia, the UK, and the United States.
India and Brazil are trying for permanent membership in UNSC.
