The officials of Saudi Arabia have arrested a total of 93 people (suspected Islamic state operatives), who planned to carryout multiple terror attacks in various places including deadly attack on U.S. Embassy in the kingdom's capital Riyadh.

Saudi Arabia is part of the coalition led by US, which is striking the IS strongholds in Iraq and Syria. The Interior Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Mansour al-Turki said that the count include 65 people who got arrested in March for allegedly plotting massive attacks in residential compounds, prisons and security forces.

Security persons have disrupted the suicide car bomber to attack the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh after receiving specific information in mid-March. Among others 15 Saudis who were trained in building explosives, setting off two test bombs, and also engaged in firearms training, al-Turki said.

Last Year, a Canadian and a Danish citizen were wounded in two separate attacks by suspected extremist persons. The US embassy and its missions in Jiddah and Dhahran were halted the consular services over the security fears starting from 15th March. And Embassy also urged American citizens to be careful while travelling throughout the Kingdom.

The police have arrested a suspected Islamic State operative wanted for the killing of two police officers in Riyadh earlier this month.

Nawaf al-Enezi, a 29-year-old Saudi citizen, was arrested after receiving information about his hideout about 100 kilometers (60 miles) east of Riyadh. During the episode he was wounded in police firings. The Interior Ministry has announced a reward of $267,000 leading to his arrest. al-Enezi was one of the two men involved in the shooting of the police officers, and they had been directed by the extremist Islamic State group in Syria. The other attacker was already taken into custody.
