Indo American Cultural Connect has presented yet another awesome event to the art and culture loving audiences of Phoenix on Saturday the 27th February. The evening reverberated with the melodious mix of music, bells, laya, bhava and mudras with simply elegant moves of nine dancing damsels and one dynamic artist. The event in description is 'Call of the Feather' presented for this years 'Indradhanush' program, an annual event if IACC. The musical extravaganza has taken the audience to the level of ecstasy.
The first part of the program was a scintillating presentation of 'InspiracionFlamenca' dance by artists from the Julia Chacon Troupe. Their elegant stances and smooth moves kept the audience mesmerized for quite a good amount of time. It was an awesome experience to witness the scintillating performance.
The other part of the program was a feast for the eyes and ears for the lovers of Indian classical art form. Nine beautiful artists presented a wonderful combination of four different classical dance forms. Anjali Shah and Shaily Bhandari presented Kathak, Shyla Ganesan and Nitya Gollapudi presented Kuchipudi, Mrunali Das, Sonali Chatterjee and RachnaNath presented Odissi, and Gouri B Sardesai along with Prerena Parkhi presented Bharatanatyam, together they presented an exhilirating experience for the watchers. The performance was mesmerising with a flow of culture which was like Triveni Sangamam of the holy rivers.
"Coupled with the gracious moves, another innovative touch was a 'live' art presentation, telecasted as a backdrop, with the expert strokes of paint by Swarna Sitaraman, a self taught artist of a very high order. She presented the various aspects that were corelated to the unspoken emotions presented by the danceers. . The jugal bandhi of luscious moves and strokes of the brush reminds the perfection of life and nature.
The 'Call of the Feather' was all about 'love', the warm feeling in ones heart, one experiences from the tears coming down from a rain filled sky, reminding the forlorn pain in the deepest parts of the heart, reminding the tender moments of togetherness, the happy memories and the yearning for the return of ones love. The 'Call of the Feather' takes one to the delicate world to feel the tenderness of the ‘Love’ which is filled with pain, sootheness, affection and above all care.
The theater at the Tempe Center of Arts witnessed unprecedented applause for the wonderful performance from the audience. IACConnect added another successful feather to their cap by presenting an unadulterated qualitative program to their patrons.
