Diwali, the Festival of Lights, has been around for generations. The festival denotes the extinction of darkness and lighting the light of knowledge. Diwali brings all the good wishes along with Happiness and Prosperity.
Under the aegis of Asia Today Arizona and Mauj Entertainment Arizona, 6th annual Diwali Mela is being organized from 12 PM to 9 PM on 22nd October 2016 at Kiwanis Park, in Tempe, Arizona. Manju Walia and Deepa Walia of Asia Today Arizona gave the leadership in successfully conducting the event from the year 2011. The event has become popular among the Indian community, who used to participate in large numbers.
Enjoy the various food, clothes, jewelry booths and more followed by a dance party starting at 6:30 pm. The entertainment programs on the venue includes Dance, Music, food, Kids activities, Live fusion and folk vocal performances by renowned artists. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa fame Imran Ali and Darshana Menon are the key attractions.
Diwali Mela has received tremendous support from the Indian diaspora for the past five years. The Indian diaspora’s enthusiasm has prompted the organizers to come back with the event every year from 2011.
In addition to the local talent, Bollywood stars such as Harjit Mehndi, Ishmeet Narula, Faraz Butt, Ameer Ali, and many others will grace the occasion and kick off the exciting live music, under the stars dance party that begins at 6:30 PM.
The occasion will be electrified with the scintillating performance and will definitely create the nostalgia of celebrating Diwali back in India. The togetherness of the Indian community can pass on the unity and support between the different Indian communities.
