Trump wins Arizona two days after the election!

The Republican president-elect won presidential contest and its 11 electoral votes in Arizona, two days after the election.

Donald Trump had a solid lead over his rival Democratic Hillary Clinton on Election Night, but due to so many uncounted votes nearly 600,000 the winner was not declared. The latest batch of returns tabulated made him the clear winner.

With the Trump's victory, GOP extended its winning streak in the conservative state. Bill Clinton was the last Democrat to won the state in 1996.

Trump's rival Hillary Clinton was closer to gaining Arizona than the current president Barack Obama, who lost it by over 9 percentage points during his two runs for president, while Ms. Clinton was defeated by 4 points.

Former governor Jan Brewer and Sheriff Joe Arpaio were among his most vocal supporters, especially on immigration issues. Governor Doug Ducey was one who introduced him at rallies and also urged Arizonans to vote for the New York business tycoon.
