Gopalakrishnan Padmanabhan Pillai, also known as Dileep, an actor, singer, impressionist, producer, who is best known for his slapstick comedy roles in Malayalam cinema, is set to perform live in Arizona on May 7 at South Mountain High School.
Dileep has starred in more than 130 films. He attained popularity through his impressionist acts in stage shows and Comicola a television comedy series. His iconic role as Dileep in Manathe Kottaram paved way to his acting career.
Films such as Sallapam, Ee Puzhayum Kadannu, Punjabi House, Udayapuram Sulthan, and Chandranudikkunna Dikhil established his status as a prominent actor during the late- 90s.
His 2010 “Bodyguard” has been remade in Kollywood, Kaavalan starring Vijay and in Bollywood with the same name “Bodyguard” starring Salman Khan.
Dileep will be sharing the stage with his wife Kavya Madhavan and Namitha Pramod, who are also a popular Malayaee actress.
