Arizona weather sees a spike in the temperature. Temperatures are expected to further spike this week but the heat must not last for very long. After the highest hit of 80s, Wednesday and Thursday returns to the 70s like weather as per the National Weather Service.

"High pressures are temporarily building over the Southwest," Jaret Rogers, a meteorologist said. The high-pressure system must disappear within a few days, he told.

As the thermometer dropped back into the 70s late this week, the Valley will face 20 percent chances of rain. "There's a chance we could have another weak storm system," Rogers told. "We'll have to check the precipitation forecasts."

Low temperatures throughout the week are expected to range from 50 to 63 degrees.
