Before Walkout Arizona Leaders Explain Parents That They Fight For Students

The Main Leaders of the #RedForEd Movement, who planned to organize, Arizona teacher walkout made their final broadcast on their fight for justice to the students and parents of Arizona, thousands of teachers and educators are expected to walkout of classrooms to protest low funding of education in the state.
Noah Karvelis of Arizona Educators United, said in a statement that they can’t continue having their schools underfunded. The grass root groups also pushed the Red For Ed movement by a slogan of Enough is Enough. We can’t take anymore.
The leaders addressed the media gathering, at Esperanza Elementary School on Wednesday evening before the walkout. They echoed and reiterated that they wanted to have more than just teacher pay raises along with raises for all the staff, as well as to increase the funding for public education as back up to 2008 levels.
The educators also fired on Gov Doug Ducey and the state legislature for not meeting their demands.
Alexis Aguirre, a teacher at Osborn Public Schools, also said that Parents of students have offered their support and encouragement asking them not to settle the issue until promises were fulfilled, by not giving them chance to play gimmicks in the election year.
Joe Thomas, president of the Arizona Education Association said that they would lift their voices in a way that they cannot ignore. This is for your child” said Thomas.
It is well known that Gov Ducey released a plan earlier in the month saying that he would give teachers a 20 percent raise by 2020 and promised to increase more funding to education.
President of the State Senate Steve Yarbrough, released a statement on Wednesday saying that legislature is working hard to increase the funding for school support staff, school developments and the technology, but he didn’t respond towards the strike.
