After a man’s heart stopped beating for almost one hour, he survived with the help of his friend and firefighters, who saved him on Friday.

During the last winter, Frank Kampmann was digging snow,when he collapsed with a mild heart attack, he was working to clear the side walks along with his friend Paul Crook aged 20 years.

Crook found his friend collapsed on a dock, which was used to load.

Crook told that “I pushed the door open and found him there laying and turning purple,”

He continued performing CPR on his friend, until the firefighters of DC police department arrived to take over, but even they could not bring back him.

Kampmann, told in a statement that “Somewhere between 44 minutes and an hour, I know, It’s like, Wow!”

Eventually during the treatment his pulse stabilized, and now he feels lucky and great.

He said that, it’s his second chance of life and he is not going to lose it away.

He and his wife, thanked all the firefighters, and his good friend crook, on Friday and presented them each with a CPR life saving coin.

Kampmann and crook have planned to get certified in CPR and urged others to do the same.
