The US prosecutors have accused UK’s Prince Andrew of not cooperating with the ongoing Epstein probe even after multiple requests of interviewing him to ask about his relationship with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein who died last August during his service in a New York City federal prison.
According to the Manhattan based federal prosecutor, Geoffrey Berman issued a statement saying, “Today, Prince Andrew yet again sought to falsely portray himself to the public as eager and willing to cooperate with an ongoing federal criminal investigation into sex trafficking and related offences committed by Jeffrey Epstein and his associates, even though the Prince has not given an interview to federal authorities, has repeatedly declined our request to schedule such an interview, and nearly four months ago informed us unequivocally through the very same counsel who issued today’s release that he would not come in for such an interview.”
This completely counterfeits all the claims that Andrew had made saying that he could cooperate with all the federal lawmakers and the enforcement agency as they ask.
Furthermore, US Attorney, William Barr reported on Sunday that they didn’t have any plans to extradite Andrew. In one of the statements issued by the spokesperson of Prince Andrew, it mentioned clear cooperation to the US Department of Justice (DOJ) three times a year.
The US investigators are currently looking for ways to investigate and interview Prince Andrew for the case. They want to know more about his friendship with Epstein as part of their ongoing investigation against the sex trafficking case of the minors.
