On Tuesday night, an officer of the Phoenix Police Department was involved in shooting near the 22nd Avenue and Indian School Road. In the shooting the officer shot an unknown person whose identity is yet to be disclosed. The department has also stated that they are investigating the whole incident closely.
The whole incident happened around 9:00 PM on Tuesday when the officers received a 911 call of domestic violence near the 22nd Avenue and Indian School. Shortly after that residents of the same apartment complex called 911 regarding a certain disturbance in the upstairs apartment complaining that they are hearing noises of a fight between few people.
Not later after that, the officers again received a 911 call around the same time from the same apartment complex. The caller of this call did not speak a word but just left the line open and the receiving officer on the other end of the call could hear a woman screaming on top of her voice and pleading the attacker to not shoot her. The police officers rushed to the place from where the calls arrived and after arriving they could still hear the screaming. On entering the apartment they saw a few gunshots in the wall and also could hear a woman screaming from the next room.
On entering the bedroom they rescued the scared woman and also noticed that the suspect was shot. The suspect was a man who was shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the scene and crime and will soon find the involvement of the officer in the shooting.
