Derek, Sanjay Singh, Rajeev Satav, Ripun Biren, Elamaram Kareem, K K Ragesh, Syed Nazir Hussain, and Dola Sen were suspended from the Upper House.
Citing unruly behavior during the passing of farm bills, eight MPs were suspended on September 20.

The opposition members of the Parliament included those in the Trinamool Congress party have created chaos on Sunday inside the Parliament.
A video was also surfaced which showe Derek, Sanjay Singh, Rajeev Satav, K K Ragesh, Dola Sen and others portraying unruly behavior in the presence of Rajya Sabha’s deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh.
During the ruckus, TMC MP Derek O’Brien proceeded towards the Cahirman’s chair and tore a book.
However, it is unclear if the torn pages belonged to the rule book or the related to any bill that is passed in the Parliament.
Aam Aadmi Party’s Sanjay Singh was also seen standing on the tables and as the drama aggravated, the marshals took the AAP MP away from the Rajya Sabha due to his informal behavior.
Moreover, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh was also seen approaching the Chairman’s chair. However, it is unclear if he was goint to create ruckus or to stop other MP’s from doing so.
This video comes as a big harassment for the opposition MP’s who decline that they have created a ruckus inside the parliament.
Farmers’ and Produce Trade and Commerce, promotion and facilitation bill 2020 and Farmers empowerment and protection agreement on price assurance and farm services bill were passed on Sunday by the Rajya Sabha.
The bills were passed on a voice note amid the ruckus being created by the opposition. The opposition members had demanded that the bills need greater scrutiny and must be referred to a house panel before passing.
Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu condemned the incident and said that the behavior of the members during the passage of the bills was unfortunate, and unacceptable.
He also said that this incident has tarnished the image of the Parliament.
Naidu claimed that some of the opposition members have climbed on the tables and were dancing, shouting, tearing papers, breaking the mikes and were throwing papers and books at the deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha.
Te Upper House also claimed that the deputy Chairman was abused by the opposition with objectionable words.
