More than 20 people got killed and hundreds of people are wounded after a massive blast at a military base in Equatorial Guinea which happens to be the largest city of Bata. The country's President Teodoro Obiang said that the attacks took place on Sunday and the primary investigation said that this massive attack took place due to negligence in the military unit. The incident took place in a store where the explosives are charged. The store had explosives, dynamites and ammunition at the military camp in Nkoa Ntoma. Teodoro Obiang ruled the country from 1979.
The explosives caught fire due to the stubble-burning in the nearby fields by the farmers. Almost all the houses and the properties in Bata are damaged after the massive blast. The defense ministry made an official statement that more than 20 people got killed in the accident. More than 600 people are injured in this accident. The videos of the attack went viral and the locals rushed to pull the bodies from the piles and some of them carried the dead bodies in bedsheets. Media appeals are seen about blood donation for the injured and the nearby hospitals are busy treating the injured. The pickup trucks are filled with survivors and several children are injured in the attack.
Several victims are spotted lying on the floor as the beds in these hospitals are completely full. The iron roofs are ripped off from the spot and several houses are completely destroyed. The people have been spotted screaming. The sound of the explosion was heard from miles. Teodoro Obiang issued a plea for international help.
