Former Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe was shot by an unidentified gunman in his chest. Shinzo Abe was addressing a public meeting in Nara in the western part of the country when the incident took place. The doctors told that Shinzo Abe is in a state of cardio respiratory arrested and his condition is quite critical. The cops or the fire department officials are yet to respond about the incident. He was showing no vital signs after he was taken to a hospital in Japan. The incident took place at 11:30 AM in Nara and the sharp shooter was in his forties. He was taken into custody after the incident took place. Shinzo Abe was giving a speech before the upper house elections that are scheduled to take place on Sunday.
The gunman fired two shots into his chest told the witnesses. The security personnel gave a cardiac massage for Shinzo Abe and rushed him to a hospital. The 67-year-old former Prime Minister collapsed and there was bleeding from the neck. Local media agencies reported that Shinzo Abe was in a cardio respiratory arrest. The government of Japan told that a task force is formed to investigate the incident. Shinzo Abe happens to be the longest serving Prime Minister of the country and he took charge in 2006 for a year and again in 2012 till 2020. He stepped down due to the debilitating bowel condition ulcerative colitis.
