Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani turned out to be the wealthiest Asian in no time. Gautam Adani now emerged as the third richest person of the world after he overtook Bernard Arnault of France. The report has been published in Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Gautam Adani's total net worth reached 137.4 billion USD and he is just behind Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. Reliance Industries Limited Chairman Mukesh Ambani is in eleventh place with a net worth of 91.9 billion USD. Gautam Adani is the first Asian to make it to the top three of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The index is updated on a regular basis as per the calculations provided in the net worth analysis.
Elon Musk is on the top with a net worth of 251 billion USD and Jeff Bezos stands second with 153 billion USD. Adani Group has seven publicly listed entities and their businesses are expanded in energy, logistics, mining, ports, gas, resources, aerospace, airports and defense. Adani Group is the third largest conglomerate after Reliance Industries and Tata Group in the country. Adani Enterprises, Adani Green Energy, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, Adani Power, Adani Total Gas, and Adani Transmission are the listed group companies of Gautam Adani. His companies have invested big in data centers, copper refining, airports, green hydrogen, cement, and solar cell manufacturing from the past five years.
Adani Group is also investing big in the Indian telecom space and the Group announced its plan to set up a 4.1 mtpa alumina refinery and a 30 mtpa iron ore plant in Odisha and they cost 580 billion rupees. Adani Group has been donating Rs 60000 crores for charity.
