In a statement at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Thursday, presidential candidate Donald Trump promised to address international crises and restore America's position on the world stage. Trump confidently promised to "end wars with a phone call" and painted a grim picture of the world under President Joe Biden's administration, which he says has brought the world to the brink of World War III. Trump promised a radical overhaul of global peace and stability, although he did not detail the methods he proposed in his speech. He promised Americans that his leadership would lead to a stronger American presence. Trump blamed Biden for a number of international conflicts that began before his presidency, saying, “There is an international crisis the likes of which the world has never been a part of... There is war in Europe, the Middle East, Taiwan, Korea and the Philippines. and the growing risk of conflict across Asia." He promised to resolve these conflicts if re-elected.

Addressing the problem of Americans living abroad, Trump issued a stark warning: "I say to the whole world, we have to return our hostages and they have to return before I take office or you Price." He also proposed that the United States deploy a missile defense system similar to Israel's Iron Dome, despite restrictions on intercontinental ballistic missiles. Reflecting on his past dealings with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Trump hinted that Kim would like to return to the White House. “I get along; he also wants to see me again. If you want to know, I think he misses me,” Trump said.
