DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin on Friday threatened to launch a ‘jail-bharo’ agitation citing the water supply in a horrible condition and that too for two to three times a week.
During a campaign in his Kolathur constituency, Stalin raised voice and warned the Tamil Nadu state government to resolve the water crisis in Chennai.
Sewage mixed water
Stalin said, “People get water mixed with sewage. The government is duty bound to provide drinking water to the people. But the Tamil Nadu government is selling water for Rs 10. It is a shame.”
Mr Stalin said that the announcement made by the AIADMK government regarding another desalination plant Nemmeli has remained on paper.
