After completion of his shooting schedule for 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', superstar Salman Khan has spoken to media persons at a popular resort in Northern Kashmir, over the beauty of Kashmir and the necessity of re-opening the theatres in the valley.

While praising the scenery and people of the Kashmir, he said that the Switzerland has nothing better to offer by way of outdoor locales in comparison to Kashmir.

"This is my second trip to Kashmir this year. I have spent 40 days here. We will now be leaving the Valley after the successful shoot of our movie. We shot in Pahalgam and Sonamarg. The Bollywood star said the people of Kashmir were "extremely gentle, beautiful, simple and well-mannered".

"I request others to come here. I had intended to come and shoot for 'Dabangg', but that did not happen," Salman said. He also advocated to re-open the theatres. He thanked everyone for wishing him to get good result in the trial related to his hit-and-run case.

According to the reports, he smoothly avoided speaking on Kashmir issue, but promoted tourism in the state. He also revealed his connection with the state, by saying his maternal grandfather Baldev Singh Charak was from Jammu.

His latest , 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' is likely to be released on this Eid. And the makers have reiterated that the movie is nothing about ‘Negative portrayal’ of Kashmir, but mentioned it as the depiction of negative politics in the state.
