Sunny Leone Jackpot Movie Review and Rating
From 'Bombay Boys' to 'Boom' to 'Jackpot', director Kaizad Gustad has come a long way in his career, but how far has he reached is certainly one big question. Gustad, who returns back to movie making after a hiatus of 10 long years seems to have seriously gone wrong with what could have been a sharp and intelligent film like his first outing.

Story
'Jackpot' is a thriller, laced with witty one-liners and zany characters, set entirely in Goa against the backdrop of casino boats. The story is about how an amateur gang of young Goan con artists plan the perfect con only to realize that they have been conned themselves.
'Jackpot' opens with a title track that seems straight out of a Bond movie. Soon after, the audience are introduced to the characters, with multiple subplots heightening the mystery and the confusion. Kaizad ensures not to spill the beans at the outset, and several non-linear depiction of happenings leaves you outright baffled. Blame it on the multiple cons being played simultaneously, the viewer is at a complete loss halfway through the film.
Analysis :
Kaizad fumbles in the first half of the film, but beautifully interlinks subplots in the second half in the1.40 hours long movie. The movie speeds feverishly post-interval portions. The script is smart, the pacing right, the twists and turns sharp and the climax just catches you unawares. Kaizad manages to make an intelligent thriller.
On the flipside, the background score of the movie and even the songs ares just average. The chemistry between the lead pair is lackluster and the narrative in the first half, quite bizarre, that kills the movie.
Performance :
Sachiin puts up a convincing act. Sunny too shows drastic improvement in her performance. Naseeruddin Shah is excellent as always. Makrand Deshpande does a stellar job of playing the laidback cop. Bharath, who makes his Hindi debut with this film, is first-rate.
Final Word:
Go for it only if you have a good enough reason.
