Story
Bewakoofiyaan movie can described as a “slice of life”. The story is about two people passionately in love. Mohit Chadhdha (Ayushmann Khurrana) and Mayera Sehgal (Sonam kapoor) strongly believe love can help them survive. On the contrary Mayera’s willful bureaucrat father, V.K. Sehgal (Rishi Kapoor), vehemently disagrees. Who gets the last laugh in this Delhi-comedy when recession strikes and the lack of money tests love? See and experience it by yourself!
Analysis :
Bewakoofiyaan movie is certainly an Indian romantic comedy film and its fun-filled nature will absolutely take you all to the practical side of humour in our life yet disappoint you all due to the bad performances. That too after having good role. The stars despite good roles have not been able to take up the movie to a great level of investing three hours. This fun-filled satire has been written by the versatile writer/director Habib Faisal and has been directed by Nupur Asthanan. Nupur Asthana's comedy 'Bewakoofiyaan', wherein a happy young couple discovers their relationship put to the test, thanks to the financial strains of the recession and a disapproving father would be imposing a feeling of disappointment for most of us who have planned for a great watching movie weekend.
Performance :
Nupur Asthana's comedy 'Bewakoofiyaan', a happy young couple find their relationship put to the test, thanks to the financial strains of the recession and a disapproving father. On the contrary, Ayushmann Khurrana who astonished audience accompanying his extraordinarily good performance in Vicky Donor, utterly disappoints us in this movie. Like her earlier films Sonam delivers a flat performance. Sonam who bagged limelight with her bikini scene in this film, has not done justice with her character at all.
Even veteran actor like Rishi Kapoor fails to impress upon audiences with his funny antics. No major releases and long weekend may work in favour of Bewakoofiyaan.
Final Word:
Once again, Bewakoofiyaan wouldn’t be something of really a worth enough reason of watching it yet if you are free from your jobs, then go and watch it. That's because the stars despite good roles have not been able to take up the movie to a great level of investing three hours. I would like to go leniently and give it a 3 star.
