After Shaad Ali's last film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom some seven years ago.the man is back with his latest film Kill Dil only to test our patience again.
Two killers - Tutu (Ali Zafar) and Dev (Ranveer Singh) were nurtured by Bhaiyaji (Govinda) who trained them to be killers. Dev falls in love with Disha (Parineeti Chopra), but Bhaiyaji does not accept the relationship between Dev and Disha.
Analysis :
The film main part is story in which Kill Dil was failed,it give all predictable story. The story gives some what showed in 70's style. There is not a single scene were you can feel surprised or stunned.
In the scene in which Dev interviews for the insurance salesman job, the camera lingers on a framed photograph of Nirupa Roy bearing the word 'Founder', even as Alok Nath, playing presumably the HR head, questions Dev about his qualifications. Lame joke!
Its good at some senti parts and in a scene where Dev invites a poor kid to join Disha and him at their table in a modest dhaaba, and the kid invites another poor girl to join them.
The more enjoyable portions in 'Kill Dil' are the humorous ones, most to be found in the first half. A scene in which Dev and Tutu head to the library to figure out what Disha meant when she replied to Dev's SMS joke with an 'LOL' is pure genius. As is a scene in which the two hired hands negotiate the price of a set of bangles they want to purchase from a jeweler whom they've got gagged and bound on Bhaiyaji's orders.
Performance :
Ali Zafar, charming as always, is horribly miscast, and appears a tad embarrassed stuck in this messy film. The abundantly talented Parineeti Chopra does her best to infuse some credibility into her role, but that's hard when you're cast as a hard-drinking, perenially-partying rich girl who rehabilitates criminals for a career. Honest!
Background music is strong and goes well with the theme of the film. Songs are good to listen.
Final Word: There is not much to say in kill dil First hour goes very quickly, you can smile among your selves,if thats enough for you the watch it.so it can be given two stars and half for Ranveer singh performance.which totaly makes two and a half.
