Analysis
The first half of the movie starts low in pace and the narration has been quite dull. Though some of the moments raise the race, the film dips down again. Couple of songs have been shot well and the performances by the lead actors make the audience energetic. The interval episodes make the audience engaging however the film has been quite slow in pace and it lacks entertainment. On the whole the first half of Rock On 2 tests your patience.
The second half of Rock On 2 too carries the same mood and it dips down completely. The biggest disappointment is the songs as none of them have been melodious and interesting. The pre-climax episodes have been dragged too much that they test the patience of the audience. On the whole the second half of Rock On 2 is quite disappointing.
Performance
Farhan Akhtar has been electrifying throughout the film and he has been the major highlight of the film. Ajrun Rampal looked hot as usual and he carried the film on his shoulders. Purab Kohli’s character has nothing much interesting to reveal and Shraddha Kapoor has been emotional and she had no scope to be energetic. All the other actors have been decent in their roles and delivered out their best.
The story of the film has nothing new and interesting to reveal. The screenplay has been completely lose and not well written. The dialogues too looked written without interest. The music and the background score have been ok and the cinematography has been decent. The production values looked grand enough and the director fails to turn out Rock On 2 interesting and engaging.
Final Word
Rock On 2 is a film that can be given a huge skip as the film offers nothing and ends tragic. A band that makes no sound.
